Bugweri District Local Government is led by a combination of political leaders, who provide policy direction and oversight, and technical leaders, who oversee the daily administration and service delivery. This collaborative leadership ensures that the aspirations of our citizens are met through effective governance and efficient implementation of development programs.

Political Leadership:

The political arm of the Bugweri District Local Government is headed by the District Chairperson, who is the political head of the district and Chairperson of the District Executive Committee. The District Council, comprising elected Councillors representing various constituencies and special interest groups, serves as the highest policy-making body.

Technical Leadership:

The technical and administrative functions of the District Local Government are spearheaded by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), who is the overall accounting officer and head of the public service in the district.
